Resumen
Este artículo analiza la clasificación de las Cortes regionales de derechos humanos como órganos judiciales internacionales o supranacionales. Aunque fueron creadas en uniones internacionales de Estados, han experimentado una evolución constante en su historia. Se cuestiona si esta evolución las ha dotado de un carácter supranacional o si han seguido una dirección diferente en su desarrollo.
